We look beyond the bloody legend of the 16 June 1976 uprising and behind the hardened face of resistance politics, to the core of Soweto – its people. Soweto is about people leading their lives – working and commuting, celebrating and grieving. See the poverty of an informal settlement shack and a hostel in contrast with the upper class suburb of Diepkloof in Soweto. This tour promises a warm experience of this fascinating place.
